Job Title: LETTINGS NEGOTIATOR – Residential Lettings

Salary: OTE £35,000 per annum

WANTED! An experienced Lettings Negotiator: focused on managing enquiries, conducting viewings, negotiating tenancies, and supporting landlords and tenants through the full lettings process within a busy Chelmsford branch.

We are recruiting for a Lettings Negotiator to join a successful and active lettings team in Chelmsford.

This position would suit a confident communicator who enjoys working with people, handling enquiries, and progressing deals from initial contact through to move-in. Previous lettings experience is advantageous, although training is available for the right candidate. 

What You'll Be Doing (Key Responsibilities):

• Handling inbound enquiries via phone and email
• Proactively contacting prospective tenants about available properties
• Matching tenants to suitable rental properties
• Booking and conducting property viewings
• Negotiating rent and tenancy terms between landlords and tenants
• Managing the lettings process from application to move-in
• Keeping landlords updated with viewing feedback and market information
• Assisting with property marketing across online portals and social media
• Maintaining accurate records on internal systems
• Ensuring compliance with lettings legislation, including Right to Rent
• Liaising with the Property Management team to ensure smooth move-ins 

What We're Looking For (Skills & Experience):

• Experience in lettings, property, or a customer-facing role preferred
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
• Confident negotiator with a professional manner
• Organised with the ability to manage multiple tasks
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
• Problem-solving mindset with attention to detail
• Willingness to build a long-term career in lettings
• Full UK driving licence and use of a car essential
